***Job Summary***

Stride Health Services is seeking Behavior Therapists / Level 2 EIDBI Providers to join our Twin Cities-based program, working one-on-one with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). As a Behavior Therapist, you will be trained to provide ABA and/or EIDBI services to a diverse caseload of 10-12 clients whose ages range from 18 months to 18 years old.

***Preference given to those willing to travel to Isanti or Chisago County***

***Duties***

- Conduct assessments to identify behavioral and emotional needs of clients

- Develop and implement treatment plans based on individual needs

- Provide individual therapy sessions

- Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to modify behaviors

- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to create a comprehensive treatment approach

- Monitor progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary

- Document client progress and maintain accurate records

- Provide education and support to families regarding behavioral strategies

***Requirements***

Behavior Therapist Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral health, child development or a related field (e.g., mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, health science, education, sociology, nursing, human services, counseling, family studies), and meet at least one of the following requirements:

  • Have at least 1,000 hours of clinical experience and/or training in the evaluation and treatment of people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or a related condition.
  • Have completed the equivalent in graduate-level coursework (refer to the equivalent coursework section on this page) at an accredited university.
  • Note: Coursework must be documented in one of the following areas: ASD or related condition diagnostics, ASD or related condition treatment strategies or child development.
  • Be a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc. (BACB) (refer to ).
  • Be a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the BACB (refer to ).
  • Be certified in one of the other treatment modalities recognized by DHS (refer to ).2. Have both:
  • An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a behavioral health, child development or a related field (e.g., mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, health science, education, sociology, nursing, human services, counseling, family studies).
  • At least 2,000 hours of supervised clinical experience delivering treatment to people with ASD or a related condition.
  • Note: The provider can include hours worked as a mental health behavioral aide, special education paraprofessional or an EIDBI level III provider as required hours of experience.
  1. Have at least 4,000 hours of supervised clinical experience delivering treatment to people with ASD or a related condition.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in pediatrics or child family counseling

- Proficiency in coding for insurance billing purposes

- Knowledge of mental health counseling techniques

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
