***Job Summary***

Stride Health Services is seeking Early Intervention Therapists / Level 1 EIDBI Providers to join our Twin Cities-based program, working one-on-one with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using DIRFloortime and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will be trained to provide DIRFloortime and/or ABA to a diverse caseload of clients whose ages range from 18 months to 20 years old.

DIRFloortime is a developmental and relationship-based treatment modality designed to meet our clients where they are

  1. As a DIRFloortime specialist, you will engage with clients through playful, sensory-respective, and developmental

approach. Applied Behavior Analysis is a behavioral and skill-based treatment modality design to support clients in building skills they struggle to develop on their own. As an ABA specialist, you will engage with clients through a instructional, behavior-focused, and skills-based approach.

***Preference given to those willing to travel to Isanti or Chisago Counties

***Duties***

- Provide direct intervention sessions.

- Utilize a combination of DIRFloortime and behavior analysis techniques to implement client treatment goals.

- Engage in mandatory staff trainings and meetings.

- Follow all HIPAA, Legal, and Ethical compliances during employment with Stride Health Services.

- Support client’s using crisis intervention strategies as needed.

- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to create a comprehensive treatment approach.

- Engage in quality data collection to support client progress monitoring and documentation.

- Maintain and complete accurate session documentation in a timely manner.

- Collaborate with the Qualified Supervising Professional and Modality Specialists in the ongoing treatment planning and progress monitoring of client goals and progress.

***Requirements***

Early Intervention Specialist Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

To qualify as a level I provider, a person must meet both of the following requirements:

  1. Be employed by an EIDBI agency.
  2. Complete either:
  • At least 2,000 hours of clinical experience and/or training in the examination and/or treatment of people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or a related condition.
  • Note: The provider can include hours worked as a mental health behavioral aide, mental health practitioner, personal care assistance (PCA) worker, EIDBI level II or level III provider or another role in a clinic or education setting as required hours of experience.
  • The equivalent in graduate-level coursework at an accredited university (refer to the equivalent coursework section on this page).

Note: Coursework must be documented in one or more of the following areas: ASD or related condition diagnostics, ASD or related condition treatment strategies or child development. In addition to the above requirements, a person must meet at least one of the following requirements:

  1. Have a doctoral or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral health, child development or a related field (e.g., mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, health science, education, sociology, nursing, human services, counseling, family studies).
  1. Be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc. (BACB).
  1. Be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) through the BACB.
  1. Be a Qualified Behavior Analyst as defined by the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board.
  1. Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral health, child development or a related field (e.g., mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, health science, education, sociology, nursing, human services, counseling, family studies) and advanced certification in one of the DHS-recognized treatment modalities (refer to the advanced certification section on this page and ).
  1. Be a Board Certified assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) through the BACB and have 4,000 hours of supervised clinical experience that meets all registration, supervision and continuing education requirements of the certification.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience completing medical documentation

- Experience with working in children and youth in a home, community, and/or clinic based setting.

- Proficiency in computer literacy skills for insurance billing purposes

- Experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, global developmental disorder, and/or other physical and/or neuro-developmental disabilities.
